Acorn
My love affair with lacquer continues! I especially like betel nut boxes with their several layers. The red square box I found at Chatuchak market in Bangkok and the two round ones in Mae Sai in Norhtern Thailand. Much of this type of lacquerware comes from Burma but can be found at markets all over Thailand. In Chiang Mai, a good place to shop for lacquerware is the top floor of the Night Bazaar on Chang Klan road.

Squirreled away!
I love lacquer! And especially lacquerware from Vietnam. These tea-boxes from Living Space look just like candy, impossible to resist!
