There are only a handful of old wooden buildings left in Chiang Mai and Lanna Architecture Center is one of my favourites. I especially love the large wooden verandahs that run around the top of the building. The Center often holds exhibitions relating to northern Thai Architecture.
Lanna Architecture Center is located in the heart of the old town (inside the moat) on Rachadamnoen road and lies close to many beautiful temples that are also well worth a visit.
