Acorn

I just couldn't resist baking a Tarte Tatin, not only because it is apple season but because it is one of my all time favourites! This time a added some cardamom as well ( I hope the French don't mind!)

This is how I made it:
Peel about 4 large apples and then cut them into cloves.
Put them in a oven safe pan and fry them whit about 100 grams of butter, sugar and vanilla sugar to taste and a hint of cardamom. Keep it on the pan until brown and all caramel! (about 15 min)
Leave the sugar, butter and apples in the pan and cover it with puff pastry (like a lid).
Then put it in the oven for about 30 min and take it out.
Turn it over in to a serving dish before the caramel sticks to the pan, let it cool down a bit and enjoy with whipped cream, ice cream or vanilla sauce. Divine!
